About Cold Storage Singapore (1983)
Cold Storage and Giant are two of Singapore’s most trusted and recognisable grocery brands, each with a distinct heritage and customer focus. Cold Storage began its journey in 1903 as a business specialising in the storage and distribution of frozen and perishable goods. In 1905, it opened its first retail space on Orchard Road, offering imported frozen meats, poultry, and dairy products. Today, it serves customers across Singapore through its network of stores under the Cold Storage, CS Fresh, CS Gold, and Jason’s Deli banners, offering a curated selection of fresh produce, meat and seafood, daily essentials, gourmet, and international products. Giant, first established in Singapore in 2000 with its inaugural hypermarket at IMM, has since grown into a mass-market grocery retailer with over 35 stores island-wide. Its mission is to deliver everyday value, providing a wide range of fresh produce, groceries, and household essentials at competitive prices — all within a convenient and affordable shopping environment.
