About the role
This role is based in the Finance Department, reporting to the Finance Controller. You will handle daily accounting transactions and maintain financial records and schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales, purchases and general ledger entries
- Maintain cashbook, advance payments, unearned revenue and related accounting schedules
- Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, depreciation and account reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset and right-of-use (ROU) asset schedules
- Prepare weekly and monthly expense budgets and submit fund plans through internal systems
- Process accounting transactions in SAP and handle finance-related approval workflows in OA and other internal systems
- Prepare quarterly GST invoice listings to support input GST claims
- Assist with audit requests and other finance-related duties as assigned
About you
- Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial closing procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is an advantage
- Familiarity with GST and fixed asset accounting is preferred
- Responsible, detail-oriented and willing to learn
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with the China-based finance team in Chinese and to read and prepare Chinese-language financial documents.
