An established Civil& Structural Engineering Consulting firm in Singapore requires the following position:
ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly closing, journal entries, accruals, prepayments and financial reports.
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns, ensuring accuracy, timely submission and compliance with IRAS requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of project progress claims, including supporting documentation and follow-up.
- Monitor project accounts, including revenue, costs, profitability, work-in-progress and project financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Support project revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion (POC) calculations.
- Assist in year-end closing and audit preparation, including audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Liaise with external auditors and other relevant parties on accounting and audit matters.
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and compliance with accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably handling full sets of accounts.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and GST requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
