Domain knowledge in the insurance, TPA claims process and with ownership.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the application owner for insurance, TPA claims, coverage, and medilimit systems, and build a working understanding of claims processing, coverage and eligibility validation, limit utilisation, and reconciliation flows.
  • Document business rules, data definitions, process flows, and integration points so knowledge does not depend on any single person.
  • Work with business users, insurers, TPAs, and vendors to clarify rules, resolve discrepancies, and manage changes to external requirements.
  • Provide domain and technical input to requirement reviews including the data and downstream impact of proposed changes.
  • Provide support for production incidents, working to agreed severity-based response and resolution targets.
  • Perform root cause analysis, drive corrective and preventive actions, and contribute to problem management to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and scheduled processes; resolve file, message, or integration failures; and run reconciliation checks on critical claims and coverage data.
  • Convert recurring data corrections into application fixes, validation rules, or controlled and audited scripts.
  • Design and enhance .NET applications supporting insurance, TPA, and medilimit functions.
  • Refactor and modernise components that cause recurring defects or data issues, in line with the strangler-style modernisation approach and architectural guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in .NET application development, enhancement, and production support.
  • Experience with insurance, TPA, claims, or coverage systems, or a comparable transaction-heavy regulated domain such as healthcare billing, with a demonstrated ability to learn complex business rules quickly.
  • Ability to document business rules clearly and to challenge ad-hoc change requests constructively.
  • Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and Entity Framework, with working proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React, jQuery, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills: complex queries, stored procedures, indexing and performance tuning, transaction handling, and data integrity design.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues independently, including log analysis, debugging, and performance diagnosis, and to find root cause rather than apply workarounds.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in business language and coordinate with remote teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset: takes responsibility for outcomes, not only tasks.
