Job Summary
Manage full accounting functions to ensure compliance, accurate financial reporting, and effective fund management supporting VIVA’s mission to save children with cancer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with VIVA Finance Manual and accounting governance
- Maintain accurate Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables records to support financial integrity
- Manage full set of accounts to provide comprehensive financial oversight
- Prepare and file statutory reports including GST and IRAS submissions to meet regulatory requirements
- Generate month-end financial reports, including treasury and management reports, to inform decision-making
- Liaise with External Auditors and VIVA board members for thorough accounts review and audit processes
- Manage funds and bank accounts to ensure proper cash flow and financial controls
- Develop and track annual budget to support financial planning and resource allocation
- Monitor VIVA’s inventory and assets to maintain accurate records and safeguard resources
- Maintain proper donor records and issue receipts promptly to support fundraising transparency
- Manage website and donation platforms to facilitate efficient collection of donations
- Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all accounting functions to ensure consistency and compliance
- Perform additional accounts-related duties as assigned to support organizational needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge and experience using QuickBooks accounting software
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a well-established accounting firm
- Experience working in a charity organization is advantageous
- Demonstrated commercial acumen to align financial activities with organizational goals
- Analytical mindset to interpret financial data and support strategic decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
