We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to support mission-critical production systems in a secure 24/7 environment. You will be responsible for the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB platforms, working closely with infrastructure, system, software, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Day 2 (L2/L3) production support for MSSQL and MongoDB, including incident response and root cause analysis.
- Manage high availability environments including SQL Server Always On and MongoDB Replica Sets.
- Perform database administration, backup & recovery, patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery testing.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
- Support application deployments, database releases, data migrations, and post-deployment validation.
- Implement database security, access controls, auditing, and vulnerability remediation.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and support compliance with government security standards.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support for critical production incidents.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of hands-on DBA experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (Always On, HA, performance tuning) and MongoDB (Replica Sets, backup/recovery).
- Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical systems and Severity 1 incidents.
- Knowledge of database deployment, data patching, and release management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL operations, virtualization/container environments, or integration platforms is an advantage.
- Experience in Singapore Government or other regulated environments is highly preferred.
