Job Summary
Support the Sales & Marketing Manager by managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating logistics operations, and establishing new business opportunities in marine freight forwarding & other marine industry related products.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to sales enquiries to support customer engagement and business growth
- Liaise with customers to understand and fulfill their shipping and logistics requirements effectively
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations to facilitate sales conversions
- Source and negotiate freight and equipment rates to optimize cost efficiency
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the client base
- Coordinate with the Operations Department to ensure smooth execution of shipping jobs
- Follow up with the Finance Department to ensure timely billing and payment processing
- Monitor and collate customer feedback to improve service quality
- Provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Department to enhance operational efficiency
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software to support documentation and communication
- Strong written and spoken English skills for effective communication and report writing
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage customer relationships and secure favorable terms
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work to maintain high-quality outputs
- Technical or chemical knowledge related to the marine sector is an added advantage
