Key Responsibilities
- Route Planning and Optimization:
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Monitor traffic conditions, weather, and other factors to adjust routes as needed
- Vehicle Maintenance Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for the company’s fleet of vehicles.
- Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
- Driver Management:
- Supervise and support drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Schedule driver shifts and assignments to meet delivery demands.
- 3PL Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) vendors to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Possess class 3 driving license
- At least 3 years of experience in traffic control, dispatch, or similar role within logistics industry
- Familiarity with route planning and scheduling.
- Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and control desk.
